Norfolk State big man RaShid Gaston will be transferring out of the program.
Gaston just completed his junior season as one of the better big men in the mid-major ranks, averaging 15.5 points, 9.6 boards and 1.2 blocks for the Spartans last season.
The 6-foot-9, 240 pound center has one season of eligibility remaining, but according to the Virginian-Pilot, Gaston will not be graduating and thus is not eligible for the graduate transfer exception. In other words, if he’s going to end up at a bigger Division I program, he will have to sit out the 2015-16 season.
