Marshall transfer Shawn Smith has announced that he will be transferring to Nevada for his senior season.

“It was a hard decision,” Smith wrote on twitter. “I [will] be playing at Nevada next season.”

Smith averaged 12.0 points as a senior in 2014-15, but he had his season end after five games due to a shoulder injury. The 6-foot-6 forward averaged 7.6 points and 4.1 boards as a junior.

Smith is the third player that new head coach Eric Musselman has landed since he took over this spring. Lindsey Drew, a 6-foot-4 point guard and the youngest son of NBA coach Larry Drew, signed to play this season, while Missouri State transfer Marcus Marshall will be eligible in the 2016-17 season.
