Indiana forward Devin Davis was cited for possession of marijuana by Indiana University police on Monday, according to a report from The Herald-Times.

According to the Indianapolis Star, Davis was not arrested and was cited for possession under 30 grams.

“We have been made aware that Indiana sophomore Devin Davis was cited by IUPD for possession of marijuana in an IU dormitory room last evening,” the school said in a press release. “Effective immediately, Davis has been suspended from all team activities. Any additional action related to Davis’ status will occur after further review of this matter.”

Davis averaged 2.4 points as a freshman in 2013-14 but he missed the 2014-15 season after he was struck by a car driven by teammate Emmitt Holt last November. Davis was drinking underage at the time and was found to be at fault for the collision, having “jumped” in front of the car Holt was driving.

Junior center Hanner Mosquera-Perea was present at the time that Davis was cited.

“Hanner Mosquera-Perea was present at the time of the incident but was not charged by IUPD,” Indiana said. Mosquera-Perea was suspended for two games during the 2013-14 season after a drunk driving arrest. “Mosquera-Perea’s role, if any, will also be reviewed as part of this matter.”
