The field for the 2015 Puerto Rico Tip-Off has officially been announced.

The event will be headlined by three teams that happen to fall just outside out preseason top 25: Butler, Miami and Utah. The Bulldogs return Kellen Dunham and Roosevelt Jones from one of last season’s most surprising team. Utah got great news with Jakob Poeltl returned to school, meaning that the Utes should remain competitive despite graduating Delon Wright. And while Miami lost a couple of players to transfer, they return Angel Rodriguez and Shelden McClellan as well as promising freshman Jaquan Newton.

The rest of the field: Mississippi State, Minnesota, Temple, Texas Tech and Missouri State.

Mississippi State will be an intriguing team next season, as they added head coach Ben Howland and top ten recruit Malik Newman this offseason. Temple was the first team out of last year’s NCAA tournament, while Minnesota has appeared to be on the verge of putting it all together since Richard Pitino took over.
