Sophomore guard Dustin Thomas has found a new home after transferring from Colorado earlier this spring. The 6-foot-7 Thomas took to Twitter on Sunday to announce that he’s heading to Arkansas.
Thomas will have to sit out the 2015-16 season due to NCAA transfer regulations, but he’ll have two years of eligibility remaining. As a sophomore, Thomas averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game while shooting 44 percent from the field and 31 percent from 3-point range.
A native of Texas, Thomas was a three-star recruit coming out of high school in the Class of 2013 and the No. 150 overall prospect in the Rivals national rankings. After sitting a year, Thomas could have a chance to be a role player for Arkansas and he’s an experienced player who played in 67 games the past two seasons for the Buffaloes.
