It seems that the talk about renewing the rivalry between Kentucky and Indiana has started again.

According to a report from the Indiana Business Journal, at the very least there is interest between the two sides in making the game happen.

“I personally would like to renew the conversations,” Indiana athletic director Fred Glass told IBJ. “I think the two teams should play in December.” Glass also told the paper that he would be willing to play some of the games on a neutral site, which was a sticking point when the talks between the two sides broke down in 2012. Kentucky head coach John Calipari wanted to hold the games in venues like Lucas Oil Stadium, while Indiana preferred to have the games played in Rupp Arena and Assembly Hall.

Kentucky’s deputy AD DeWayne Peevy told the paper that the two sides have had “general discussion” about renewing the rivalry.

The last time the two teams played in the regular season, Christian Watford hit a memorable, buzzer-beating three to knock off then-undefeated Kentucky in 2011-12.
