While the general feeling was that Kentucky forward Alex Poythress would return to Lexington for his senior season, nothing had been made official. That changed late Thursday, when the rising senior announced on Twitter that he will be back in 2015-16.

The 6-foot-8 Poythress played in just eight games, all starts, before going down with a torn ACL in practice in mid-December. Poythress’ return gives Kentucky some added experience in the front court alongside Marcus Lee and Derek Willis, and he’s another piece to the yet-to-be-completed puzzle that is John Calipari’s 2015-16 roster.

Skal Labissiere will also join the front court next season, and among the recruits Kentucky is still looking to land is high-energy forward Cheick Diallo. At present time Kentucky has three recruits signed for next season: Labissiere and guards Isaiah Briscoe and Charles Matthews.
