Wednesday has proven to be a productive one for George Washington when it comes to reeling in transfers who can help them on the perimeter.

Hours after it was reported that Dartmouth graduate Alex Mitola will use his final year of eligibility at the Atlantic 10 school, sources confirmed to NBCSports.com that former Seton Hall guard Jaren Sina will join Mike Lonergan’s program as well.

Sina will have to sit out the 2015-16 season per NCAA transfer rules, but he’ll have two years of eligibility remaining beginning with the 2016-17 campaign. Sina played in 24 games, making 23 starts, before leaving the Seton Hall program in early February. At the time of his departure Seton Hall was in the midst of a stretch in which they lost six straight games and nine of the final ten.

Sina averaged seven points per game last season, shooting 32 percent from the field and from three. With a year to get acclimated to Lonergan’s system while competing against the likes of Mitola (who was a teammate of Sina’s at the high school level) and Joe McDonald in practice, Sina should be ready to be a key contributor for the Colonials in 2016-17.

News of Sina’s commitment was first reported by Gannett New Jersey.
