Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg is making progress after having heart surgery on Friday. The 42-year-old coach, who just finished his fifth year with the Cyclones, is up and on his feet after successful surgery.

It’s good to see Hoiberg already getting off to a solid start in his recovery and hopefully he’s back with the program after taking some time off to heal.
In five seasons, Hoiberg is 115-56 with the program and has made the NCAA tournament four consecutive seasons. Iowa State was 25-9 this past season and has high expectations entering the 2015-16 season.
