George Washington transfer guard Kethan Savage is heading to Butler, according to multiple reports on Saturday afternoon.

Jeff Borzello of ESPN and Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports both reported the news.

Savage averaged 11.7 points per game for the Colonials this past season. The junior guard announced he was leaving the program on April 3, a major hit for a program that was hoping to have him return alongside three other key juniors.

The 6-foot-3 Savage will have to sit next season and will have one year of eligibility remaining.

Savage is the second Atlantic 10 transfer to pick Butler this offseason. St. Bonaventure guard Jordan Gathers, nephew of the late Hank Gathers, announced he was heading to Butler on March 29. He’s a graduate transfer, meaning he’ll be eligible to play next season.

Gathers, leading scorer Kellen Dunham and bulldozing guard Roosevelt Jones are all out of eligibility after next season. Chris Holtmann can then plug Savage into the backcourt with point guard Tyler Lewis, another transfer guard.
