One week after it was announced that shooting guard Brendyn Taylor would be leaving the program, USC announced another departure Thursday afternoon. Sophomore Kahlil Dukes, who played in 20 games this past season, will be transferring at the end of the semester.
Dukes, a native of Hartford, Connecticut, averaged 2.1 points in 7.2 minutes of action per game. Dukes’ most productive outing of the 2014-15 season came in a five-point loss at Arizona State in February, as he scored 18 points in 29 minutes of action (starting guard Katin Reinhardt was one of three players sent home prior to that game).
Losing Dukes won’t be a major hit for head coach Andy Enfield and his staff, as Reinhardt and Jordan McLaughlin return next season as do Julian Jacobs and Elijah Stewart.
