Dayton has extended Archie Miller’s contract through the 2021-22 season, the school announced on Thursday. The terms of the contract were not disclosed.

“The University of Dayton is a special place. We have everything we need to be among the best,” Miller said. “My family and I love being here and we are very appreciative of all the support that’s come our way since we arrived four years ago.”

“I’m excited about our future and look forward to trying to do more special things for our school, our community, and perhaps most importantly, our loyal fans.”

Miller led the Flyers to the Elite 8 in 2014, earning a contract extension last season, and followed that up by taking the Flyers to the Round of 32 this year despite beginning the tournament in the First Four. Dayton finished tied for second in the Atlantic 10 despite the fact that they had just six scholarship players after Miller dismissed his only two big men that were taller than 6-foot-6.
