George Washington is losing two to transfer as sophomore guard Nick Griffin and freshman wing Darian Bryant are leaving the program. The news was confirmed by NBCSports.com after first being reported by ESPN.com.

The 6-foot-2 Griffin appeared in 35 games and struggled to consistently produce, as he averaged 2.6 points per game while only shooting 32 percent from the field and 36 percent from 3-point range.

In his first season of college hoops, the 6-foot-4 Bryant played in 32 games and averaged 1.2 points per outing and shot 35 percent from the field.

The Colonials losing two role players from the roster likely won’t change too much for them next season as neither Griffin or Bryant were particularly efficient and productive.
