Alcorn State will not renew Luther Riley’s contract

Alcorn State announced that they will not renew the contract of head coach Luther Riley for next season.

The Braves went 6-26 this past season. Three of those wins came against Grambling, and a fourth came against Dillard, which is not a Division I program. In his four seasons, Riley only won one non-conference game against a Division I opponent, and that came against Samford in overtime in 2012.

Riley took a leave of absence in the middle of the season and assistant coach Shawn Pepp took over.
