Geno Ford has been fired by Bradley, sources confirmed to NBCSports.com.

Ford has been with the program for four seasons, never finishing better than seventh in the Missouri Valley and posting just one winning season those four years. He’s 46-86 overall, and this past season, the Braves went 9-24 overall and 3-15 in league play.

Ford came to Bradley from Kent State, where he led the Golden Flashes to back-to-back divisional titles in the MAC and a pair of trips to the NIT.

The news was first reported by ESPN.com.

Hiring a new coach could be a bit complicated for Bradley. The school is in the midst of finding a new school president, as the current president, Joanne Glasser, was forced into early retirement in January. Glasser is in office until May, but the Bradley Board of Trustees is looking for her replacement.

Athletics director Michael Cross also resigned after the women’s basketball conference tournament ended in March. Chris Reynolds is currently the athletics director at Bradley.
