There have been some great interviews on the Dan Patrick Show over the years, but Friday’s segment with Georgia State coach Ron Hunter and his son R.J. should go down as one of the best.
On Thursday afternoon, R.J. Hunter, drilled a game-winner in No. 14 Georgia State’s 57-56 upset win over No. 3 Baylor. Adding to the moment was Ron Hunter, who tore his Achilles celebrating the Panthers NCAA tournament berth a week earlier, falling off his stool.
The father and son appeared on the DP Show to talk about a whole host of topics: the shot, the injury, Ron Hunter calling out President Obama after the win, which one of them could win in a game of one-on-one – which resulted in some trash-talking – and Georgia State grads Julia Roberts and Ludacris.
