There was a scary moment after Lafayette’s win over American in the Patriot League title game, as two elderly security guards were run over as Lafayette students stormed the floor:
I’m not anti-court storming.
I think they need to be more controlled to make sure that we don’t have that one ‘Malice at the Palace’ moment, but I don’t think getting rid of them entirely is the right answer. This, however, is not an example of what’s wrong with court storms.
It is an example of why you don’t have elderly security guards tasked with trying to hold back students that are going to be storming the floor.
