A brawl between the Southern and Texas Southern women’s basketball teams has resulted in a combined 15 suspensions and the decision for TSU to withdraw from the SWAC tournament, which begins Wednesday.

Seven players from Southern were suspended, as were eight from Texas Southern. Southern also announced that they had dismissed Keonia Parrish from the team. The other six that were suspended: Kendra Coleman, Jasmine Jefferson and Cortnei Purnell, Shaquandria Litmon, Yasmine Nelson and Jadea Brundidge.
The seven players suspended by Texas Southern: Kiani Vines, Alexus Johnson, Diamomisha Sophus, Toni Cheadle, Dana Jones, Miracle Davis, Morgan Simmons and Ashley Ferguson.
