All Yale had to do to earn the Ivy League’s automatic bid was to beat Dartmouth.
The Elis were up 57-52 with 35 seconds left, but they somehow managed to lose on this game-winner:
Yale brought this on themselves, however, as they missed three free throws in the final 1:45 and turned the ball over up 57-54 with just 18 seconds left.
This is great for all college basketball fans outside the great city of New Haven, however.
There will now be a one-game playoff between Yale and Harvard at the Palestra in Philly next Saturday. That will be fun.
