Wisconsin’s starting point guard Trae Jackson has been out with a broken foot since a January 11th loss to Rutgers, and according to head coach Bo Ryan, it’s still unclear when Jackson will be able to return to the floor.

“Hopefully [he’ll be back] for the Big Ten and if it’s not the Big Ten, then the NCAA tournament,” Ryan said on a podcast with ESPN.com’s Andy Katz. “I just hope he gets to play again with his teammates and put the uniform on and get out there and be a part of it, no matter what happens.”

“He’s rehabbing and doing his best and the medical people will clear him when he’s ready, hopefully it’s soon.”

Jackson averaged 9.4 points and 2.9 assists before suffering the injury. The initial diagnosis said that he would be out for about six weeks, which would have meant that he would have been back in the lineup for Wisconsin’s game at Maryland last week.

Jackson’s replacement, Bronson Koenig, has been terrific in his absence.
