As if Wisconsin’s loss at Maryland wasn’t bad enough, on the Badgers return trip back to Madison their flight was forced to make an emergency landing in Pittsburgh after their plane had an engine malfunction:

The team was forced to split up, spending the night scattered across three different Pittsburgh hotels. As of this morning, the Badgers were still trying to figure out how they were going to get a flight home, team spokesman Patrick Herb told NBCSports.com.
There is at least some good news here. Wisconsin doesn’t play again until Sunday, when they host Michigan State. Wednesday was already scheduled to be an off day, but off days are much better spent back on campus than they are in airport hotels trying to find a way to get home.
