At halftime of Saturday’s loss to Pitt at the Carrier Dome, the Orange celebrated two of their former stars by retiring the jerseys of Roosevelt Bouie and Louis Orr.
The ceremony went well, except for the fact that Bouie’s name was spelled ‘Bowie’.
Seriously.
How does that happen?
The good news is that the jersey was lifted into the Dome’s rafters had Bouie’s name spelled correctly. It can’t be that hard to simply make a new jersey and put it in a frame, meaning that the program will be able to get something that Bouie can hang in his man cave.
But man, how embarrassing is that?
Roosevelt, you were so important to our program that we confused you with the guy that sang this.
