As many of you probably know by now, NBCSports.com has launched a longform site called NBC Sports World.
You can find it here.
And today, a story I wrote about Bruce Pearl and Auburn was published.
NBCSportsWorld: ‘If you win, there’s always another job’
Pearl was the most significant hire of the 2014 coaching carousel, despite the fact that A) he had already committed the coaching profession’s two mortal sins, and B) was still serving out the remainder of his show-cause when he was given the six-year, $15.2 million contract.
I took a look at what Pearl has done in the past, why Auburn hired him despite those issues and why a big-name coach like Pearl would go to a moribund program like Auburn in the first place.
You can read that piece here. Go on over and give it a read.
