There was a scary moment midway through the first half of Kentucky’s win over Tennessee on Tuesday night, as Devin Booker went flying out of bounds after getting fouled on a layup attempt and landed directly on the back of a cheerleader’s legs. He took her out at the knees, her head whipped back and it looked exactly like every serious knee injury that we’ve seen an offensive linemen suffer in a football game. Booker was clearly worried about it after the game:

Is that Vol cheerleader alright? My bad.

But luckily, the cheerleader was fine:

@DevinBook I’m like new 👌

And the two then became besties:

@kristenhuskey looked bad. Glad you’re ok.

Just to inform everyone, I didn’t tear my ACL and I am okay! Appreciate the apology @DevinBook

During the 2012 Final Four, Terrence Jones ran over Louisville cheerleader, leaving bleeding, bruised and in tears. He responded by bringing her flowers to a practice a few weeks later. Will Booker do the same?
