Wes Clark suffered an ugly, painful injury in a Tuesday night loss at South Carolina, the tenth straight loss for Missouri.

With just over 13 minutes left in the second half, Clark dove for a loose ball at the same time as South Carolina’s Michael Carrera, who landed on Clark’s right arm. The resulting injury left Clark’s arm bent at the wrong angle and the sophomore point guard screaming in pain. The silent arena made those screams clearly audible on the broadcast.

We’re not posting video of the injury. If you really want to see it, it’s not too difficult to find.

Clark was taken to South Carolina’s football stadium for x-rays and he was diagnosed with a dislocated elbow. He told a reporter for the Kansas City Star that he would miss six weeks, which essentially would end his season. Six weeks from now is the Sweet 16. Head coach Kim Anderson told reporters after the game that Clark would be reevaluated once they returned to Missouri.

Clark was averaging 10.0 points and 3.2 assists on the season.
