Indiana announced on Wednesday morning that they have added another body to their thin front court, as football player Jordan Fuchs will be joining the team.

“Jordan is someone we’ve been aware of for some time now and had he not gotten injured in the Purdue game and had to recover from that we would have brought over to evaluate earlier,” head coach Tom Crean said. “We worked with him since last week and with Coach Wilson’s blessing we are adding Jordan at this time. He has considerable basketball experience and brings size, athleticism, toughness and a tremendous competitive attitude.”

Fuchs is a 6-foot-6 freshman tight end that played on Indiana’s football team this season. He caught three passes for 31 yards and a touchdown,

Coming out of high school, Fuchs had scholarship offers from Iowa State, Florida and SMU to play basketball, according to Indiana’s release.
