Three days after suffering a disappointing loss at Tulsa, Josh Pastner’s Memphis Tigers made the trek to New Orleans with hopes of rebounding against Tulane. It’s safe to say that the dunk thrown down by guard Markel Crawford in the first half of the game helps in that regard, as he converted a Tulane turnover into a three-point play with Tulane’s Jay Hook winding up on the wrong end of the dunk.
This had to make former Memphis Tiger Tyreke Evans, who’s in attendance at the game with New Orleans Pelicans teammate Anthony Davis, happy. Memphis ended up getting the win (57-55) too, with Austin Nichols’ shot with 3.2 seconds remaining being the difference.
