Early in the first half of Iowa’s game at Purdue on Saturday afternoon, Aaron White had to leave the game after colliding with Purdue’s Kendall Stephens while trying to jump a passing lane and pick up a steal:

He was clearly in immediate pain, leaving the game holding his right shoulder or upper chest area. He tried to reenter the game a few minutes later, but when he reached to catch a pass he immediately pulled up and took himself out of the game. He could be seen on the Big Ten Network’s broadcast in tears on the bench.

He was taken to the locker at the under four timeout.

The injury was classified as a stinger by the university. White was listed as questionable, but came to the bench for the second half wearing warmups.

White is Iowa’s leading scorer and rebounder.
