After dropping their first three conference games Washington has now won three in a row, the most recent being a 52-50 win at Colorado Thursday night. The hero in Boulder: junior guard Andrew Andrews, whose shot over Wesley Gordon with three-tenths of a second remaining proved to be the difference in the game.

Andrews finished the game with 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists, and fellow guard Nigel Williams-Goss scored a team-high 16 for Washington. Colorado, which once again played without starters Xavier Johnson (high ankle sprain) and Josh Scott (back), was led offensively by Gordon (ten points) and sophomore guard Jaron Hopkins (11 points).

Washington can give its resume quite the boost with a win at No. 12 Utah Sunday night. And regardless of what happens in Salt Lake City, they won’t have to worry about the possibility of an 0-2 road trip thanks to Andrews’ late-game heroics.
