After dropping games to Dayton and Richmond, Mark Schmidt’s St. Bonaventure Bonnies have now won two straight Atlantic 10 games with the latest being a 70-61 home win over Saint Joseph’s Sunday afternoon on NBCSN. Marcus Posley scored 23 points and big man Youssou Ndoye added 15, six rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots for the Bonnies, who are now 3-2 in league play.
Saint Joseph’s dropped to 1-4 in the Atlantic 10 despite a 27-point effort from one of the conference’s best players in sophomore DeAndre Bembry. The problem for the Hawks is that no one else could get untracked, as the remaining players combined to shoot 13-for-41 from the field.
St. Bonaventure shot 47.2% from the field, with 18 of their 25 made field goals being assisted.
