Having lost four straight games, it was learned shortly before their game against Oregon State that Washington will be down a starter for the next four weeks. According to Percy Allen of the Seattle Times, redshirt sophomore forward Jernard Jarreau will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee.

The procedure is expected to sideline the New Orleans native anywhere from four to six weeks, and it’s being performed on the same knee Jarreau injured in last season’s opener. Jarreau injured his knee in the second half of Saturday’s 80-77 loss to Washington State on Saturday, and after practicing Monday and Tuesday he suffered a setback.

With Jarreau out redshirt sophomore Robert Upshaw, who’s been one of the nation’s best shot blockers in his first season as a Husky, has been moved into the starting lineup alongside senior Shawn Kemp Jr. in the Washington front court.
