Georgia took another hit to its rotation this week as freshman forward Yante Maten was hit by a car while using a pedestrian crosswalk on Georgia’s campus, according to a release from the school.

Maten suffered a concussion and will miss the Bulldogs’ game on Wednesday night against Vanderbilt. He won’t return until he’s been cleared by the team’s medical personnel.

A reserve 6-foot-8 forward, Maten has played in all 14 games in the 2014-15 season for Georgia and is the team leader with 26 blocks. In 18.2 minutes per game this season, Maten is averaging 4.9 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.

Hopefully Maten can recover from this and get back on the floor soon. Georgia is already facing loses from Kenny Paul Geno, who is out with a broken left wrist and Juwan Parker, who is a game-time decision Wednesday with an Achilles injury.
