Oregon has added a 6-foot-9 post player named Roman Sorkin for the second semester, according to a report from Scout.com.
Sorkin, an Israeli native, enrolled at Oregon this week, the report says, and will be eligible to play this season. That’s a major boost for the Ducks, who desperately needed some depth in their front court with the injuries that Michael Chandler has been struggling with this season.
Sorkin nearly averaged a double-double, 14.1 points and 9.9 boards, in the U-18 Euros B-Division -- the same event that Kansas wing Svi Mykhailiuk averaged 16.0 points.
