Wednesday evening Indiana became the third Big Ten team to win its conference opener on the road, holding off Nebraska 70-65 in Lincoln. Robert Johnson scored 14 points to lead the way offensively, and front court players Hanner Mosquera-Perea (12 points, 11 rebounds), Troy Williams (13 points, five rebounds) and Emmitt Holt (six points, five rebounds) also stepped up for the Hoosiers in Lincoln.
Indiana managed to win the game despite the fact that their two leading scorers entering the game, guards James Blackmon Jr. and Yogi Ferrell, combined to score 13 points on 4-for-15 shooting from the field. Nebraska’s Terran Petteway led all scorers with 23 points and Shavon Shield added 20, but only three Huskers (Walter Pitchford- 11) managed to score more than four points in the game.
And in what was an entertaining game there was also a heated exchange between head coaches Tom Crean and Tim Miles during the second half. Following a foul committed on Mosquera-Perea by Nebraska’s Tai Webster the two coaches exchanged words, with officials and a couple of assistants stepping in between the Crean and Miles to keep things from getting any more intense.
Watched the replay of the Tim Miles-Tom Crean verbal altercation. Crean told Miles to "shut up" and then Miles nearly lost it.

It should be noted that following the game Crean denied telling Miles to “shut up” according to media members in Lincoln. There were no issues at the end of the game when the two coaches shook hands.
