While Thursday’s college basketball slate is a light one with just 17 games being played, there are a couple quality games to watch. One of those is Wright State’s game at Belmont, and at the end of the first half Belmont junior guard Jeff Laidig hit an 80-footer to give the Bruins a 36-32 lead at the break.
However it was Wright State who won the game 79-71, with JT Yoho scoring 16 points to lead three Raiders in double figures. Also of note was the fact that Wright State shot 10-for-15 from beyond the arc. Belmont’s Spencer Turner led all scorers with 23 points, and Reese Chamberlain added 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in a losing effort.
Laidig’s only points in the game came as a result of his shot to end the first half.
