Game of the Night: UC Santa Barbara at SMU, 8:00 p.m.

We get another chance to see Santa Barbara big man Alan Williams square off with a big, high-major front line. SMU could really use this win, as they’ve dealt with the loss of Markus Kennedy for the first semester in a less than ideal manner. The did beat Wyoming last week, and this would be a nice chance for them to build on that.

Who’s Getting Upset?: Yale at Florida, 7:00 p.m.

Fresh off of a win at UConn, the Elis head down to Gainesville with a chance to actually make themselves a real at-large bid candidate. Outside of a dominating first half in a loss at Kansas, Florida has been anything but impressive this season as they’ve struggled with their health and the development of talented sophomores Kasey Hill and Chris Walker. Justin Sears might end up being the best player on the floor tonight.

Mid-Major Matchup of the Night: Boston U. at Harvard, 7:00 p.m.

The Terriers are not quite as good as they have been in recent seasons, and Harvard is as good as they’ve been under Tommy Amaker, but battles between the schools in Boston are always good theater.

Three Things to Watch For:

1. Savannah State at No. 15 Miami, 7:00 p.m.: Miami lost at home on Saturday, but Savannah State has been absolutely pasted in their games against high major opponents this season.

2. Kennesaw State at No. 23 Butler, 7:00 p.m.: Butler has been impressive this season, beating North Carolina and Georgetown on a neutral court with their only loss being at home against Oklahoma.

3. IPFW at Purdue, 8:00 p.m.: The Boilermakers lost to North Florida at home on Saturday. That’s not good.

4. Brown at Providence, 9:00 p.m.: The Friars started out the season on such a high note, but they’ve dropped two in a row since then, including a road trip to Boston College.

5. North Dakota at Minnesota, 9:00 p.m.: The Golden Gophers are 6-2 on the season, but they have yet to land an impressive victory.
