It’s been a tough week for UAB fans, as they found out that three sports programs would be cut. Football has received most of the attention, but the bowling and rifle programs have also been cut in what’s been presented as a measure that would save money for the school. However many fans don’t agree with the decision, and they used the Blazers’ game against Morehead State Thursday night as a platform to voice their displeasure.

Many spectators wore black to Bartow Arena (“Black Out Bartow”), and some even participated in a march to the arena before the game. At halftime the football team took the floor to thank the fans for their support, only to be cut off by an announcement over the PA system. During the game some chanted “Fire Ray Watts,” taking aim at the school president, and afterwards some fans made their way onto the court to voice their displeasure with the administration.

Below are two videos from the game, which UAB won by the final score of 58-48.
