Jonathan Holmes’ last-second 3-pointer capped a comeback for No. 7 Texas in a 55-54 win over No. 24 UConn on Sunday afternoon in Storrs.

The shot was the product of a screen that freed up Holmes for the baseline jumper, but also ended up sending Ryan Boatright to the floor after getting tangled up and tweaking his ankle. Boatright needed help off the floor, and was seen on crutches moments later.

Andy Katz, who was at Gampel Pavilion on Sunday as part of the ESPN2 broadcast, reported that Boatright has a sprained ankle.

Boatright scored a game-high 24 points, scoring 13 of UConn’s final 15 points. UConn was playing without starting shooting guard Rodney Purvis.
