Baylor lost a commitment for the 2015 class on Monday as shooting guard Kobie Eubanks opted to open up his recruitment. Eubanks confirmed the news to NBCSports.com.

A 6-foot-4 scoring guard, Eubanks is currently doing a prep year at Elev-8 Sports Institute in Florida after not being cleared by the NCAA before the 2014-15 season. Eubanks erupted for 37 points this weekend at the National Prep Showcase and should be a hotly contested unsigned senior for high-major programs.

A three-star prospect, according to Rivals, Eubanks is sure to draw a lot of interest now, and with Baylor owning 2015 commitments from guards like Jake Lindsey, King McClure and Wendell Mitchell, it’s easy to see why Eubanks would want options. The Bears also still own a commitment from power forward Joseph Acuil in the class.
