VCU guard JeQuan Lewis had his head slammed against the court during VCU’s Friday night opener against Tennessee at the Naval Academy.

300-pound center Dominic Woodson lost his footing and fell, and as he did, he violently pulled Lewis down with him. Lewis’ head whiplashed against the floor hard enough that it is very noticeably audible on the television broadcast.

That’s not the scary part, however.

The aftermath is.

BE WARNED: this video may be disturbing to some viewers:

Lewis was ruled questionable to return to the game, according to a statement a VCU spokesperson released on twitter at halftime, but he never did check back into the game. He did return to the bench, however, sitting at the end. According to Gary Parrish of CBSSports.com, who was in attendance, Lewis spent the remainder of the game holding his head in his hands and covering his ears when the VCU band played.

Shaka Smart told reporters after the game that Lewis has a concussion.
