Jahlil Okafor, Stanley Johnson best odds to win National Player of the Year

Last week, Bovada.lv released their odds for the college basketball national champion.

Today, they posted their odds on who will be the Associated Press National Player of the Year. The favorite? Our Preseason National Player of the Year, Jahlil Okafor.

From there, however, things get a little weird. Six of the next seven players are freshmen, even those it seems that three of those six -- Stanley Johnson, Myles Turner and Cliff Alexander -- might end up coming off the bench to begin the season. My advice? Don’t bet on a freshman other than Okafor.

But there are a couple of sneaky-good bets here. Marcus Paige at 16/1 odds is probably the best value you can get of the all-americans, while Jerian Grant at 50/1 and Kevin Pangos at 75/1 are both worth taking a long look at.
