It was likely going to happen eventually, but with a new book and a new season on the horizon, the wait is finally over: Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim has joined Twitter.
While I tend to doubt Boeheim will be as active as some head coaches are on Twitter -- can you imagine Boeheim disgustedly tweeting at halftime of a close game like Tim Miles tweets during games at Nebraska? -- it is nice to see the veteran head coach open up a little bit and show his personality on social media.
Seems like yesterday I got a cellphone and here I am on Twitter. I'll be signing BLEEDING ORANGE at DeWitt B&N tomorrow at 7 #myfirstTweet

Re Notifications: I won't be able to reply often. If I want to stay employed for another 50 years, see, the team is still my top priority.

I’m not sure if Syracuse fans are ready for another 50 years of Boeheim but a dose of him now-and-then on social media should be amusing.
You can follow the 69-year-old Syracuse head coach here: @therealboeheim.
