Five-star Class of 2016 wing cuts list

Tyus Battle

USA Basketball

Five-star Class of 2016 shooting guard Tyus Battle has cut his list to 11 programs, according to Andrew Slater of 24/7 Sports.

Battle is down to Connecticut, Duke, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Syracuse, Villanova and Virginia.

The 6-foot-5 native of New Jersey is viewed as the No. 15 overall prospect in the 2016 class, according to Rivals, and Battle had a good season in the EYBL with Team Scan.

Battle has taken recent visits to a few campuses, including Duke and Syracuse and spent this summer playing on the USA U17 National Team. One of the most coveted recruits in the country, Battle probably wants to limit recruiting attention and narrow the focus in his recruitment during his junior season of high school.
