TCU head coach Trent Johnson received his first verbal commitment in the Class of 2015, as Texas native Jalon Miller announced he would be joining the program in the fall of 2015.

“I would like to say I will be playing my next four years at TCU,” he tweeted.

The 6-foot-7 Miller, who attends Seagoville High in Dallas, is listed as a three-star recruit by Rivals and held scholarship offers from Boise State, La Salle, Oklahoma and West Virginia. Miller came on late in the summer of 2013, telling Rivals recruiting analyst Eric Bossi that he had yet to hear from a college program following a strong performance at the AAU Gold Super Showcase in Las Vegas.

This past summer, Miller averaged 13.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for Texas Select Elite in the adidas Gauntlet.
