Louisiana-Monroe freshman forward Roderick Taylor was arrested on Monday afternoon by ULM police officers and charged with forcible rape, according to a report from The Shreveport Times.
Taylor allegedly met the complainant on social media and arranged to meet on the school’s campus. The two drove to a school parking lot and the alleged incident took place at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night.
The 18-year-old Taylor was arrested and booked into Ouachita Correctional Center, where he is being held on a $20,000 bond.
ULM Athletic Director Brian Wickstrom told The Shreveport Times that the school has suspended Taylor indefinitely.
A native of Harker Heights, Texas, the 6-foot-8 Taylor was expected to be a reserve this season for a Warhawks team that is projected to finish in the middle-of-the-pack in the Sun Belt.
