Nebraska has recruited the state of Illinois hard and it resulted in another commitment on Tuesday night as Class of 2016 forward Isaiah Roby pledged to head coach Tim Miles and the Cornhuskers, Roby told NBCSports.com. Roby’s commitment was first reported by Evan Daniels of Scout.com.

The 6-foot-7 Roby hails from Dixon, Illinois and came on strong during the month of July with his Quad City Elite grassroots program. Roby picked up high-major scholarship offers and interest during the month of July and Nebraska made him a priority recruit this fall.

Roby took two unofficial visits to Nebraska’s campus this year and joins Class of 2015 point guard Glynn Watson and forward Ed Morrow as recent Husker commitments to come from the state of Illinois.

Nebraska started its 2016 recruiting efforts with Roby’s commitment and he’s versatile enough to play on the wing or in the front court.
