Clemson added an impact junior college big man on Tuesday as Chipola Junior College big man Legend Robertin pledged to the Tigers.

Robertin’s commitment was first reported by Brad Winton of JucoRecruiting.com.

A native of England, the 7-foot Robertin has only been playing basketball for three seasons and was originally a track athlete before getting involved with basketball at 16.

But Robertin was a coveted junior college recruit because he has three years of eligibility left after this season and he’s athletic with a lot of upside. According to Winton, Clemson landed Robertin over Memphis, Tennessee, Florida State, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Alabama, South Carolina, Arkansas and West Virginia, so quite a few high-major programs were actively in pursuit of the big man.

Robertin joins three-star guard and Georgia native Ty Hudson in Clemson’s 2015 recruiting class.
