Jacob Evans has committed to Mick Cronin and the Cincinnati Bearcats, according to multiple reports.

Evans, the No. 96 player in the Class of 2015 according to Rivals, is a 6-foot-5 wing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He picked the Bearcats over South Carolina, although up until last Friday he was also considering Auburn, LSU and Tulane.

“I was extremely pleased with the coaching staff and current players at Cincinnati,” Evans told Scout.com. “I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the program and like that I’ll have the opportunity to compete for playing time as a freshman.”

Evans saw his recruitment blow up over the summer as he put together a series of strong performances at events like the Pangos All-American camp, NBPA Top 100 camp and the Fab 48 tournament in Las Vegas, where he led his Louisiana Dynasty AAU team to the tournament final.

Evans is the third commitment for Cincinnati in this class, joining Tre Mason and Justin Jenifer.
