Last season, Delon Wright made an immediate impact as a junior college transfer from City College of San Francisco, averaging 15.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game for Utah en route to all-Pac-12 honors.

Utah head coach Larry Krystkowiak returned to that JuCo well on Saturday night, as CCSF wing Gabe Bealer committed to the Utes.
“I’m not going to say he’s Delon Wright, but he’s similar,” City College of San Francisco head coach Jeff Labagh told Matthew Piper of the Salt Lake Tribune on Saturday. “He’s a high-flyer.”

The addition of Bealer gives the Utes three incoming players next fall. Makol Mawien, a 6-foot-9 power forward in the Rivals150 and three-star small forward Noah Togiai have both previously given their verbal pledges to Krystkowiak.

Bealer averaged 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds, shooting 54.7 percent from the field in 29 games for the Rams this past season.
