It’s over.

Daisha Simmons will be allowed to play at Seton Hall this season, as the NCAA has granted her a waiver to be immediately eligible, NBCSports.com confirmed. The news was first reported by Jerry Carino of the Asbury Park Press.

Simmons is a graduate transfer from Alabama that made headlines over the course of the past week after her previous school refused to support a waiver that would have allowed her to be immediately eligible at Seton Hall. Simmons, who was denied entry into Alabama’s MBA program, left the school to pursue the graduate degree that she wanted while being closer to her ailing mother and her brother undergoing dialysis.

Earlier this week, after getting beaten up by the media for days, Alabama announced that they would be supporting Simmons’ waiver with the NCAA.

Today, the NCAA officially cleared her, meaning the five month ordeal is now over.
